As I was walking around the exterior of the Carmel Mission, I came upon a utility door in the side of the church with fuchsias blooming next to it. The beams which frame the door were very old, with a patina covering them except where human contact worn it off. Some white flowers are also visible, seeming to grow out of the walls themselves.
