Photographic Services and Instruction

The photographic services I provide include:
Reproduction sizes up to 40 x 60+inches from originals including oil, acrylic, pencil, and other 2D works.
Digital images provided in native size at 4000 ppi. or cropped sizes for printing specific sizes.
Images are captured with a medium format camera using fine grained professional film, scanned, color-corrected and proofed for review by the customer.
After customer approval, final prints are completed and shipped as per agreement.
Archival materials are used for print longevity, color gamut, and desired surface texture.
Printing materials include matte fine art papers, poster paper, canvas, vinyl, and watercolor papers, and on special arrangement, luster or glossy paper.
High Resolution Scanning. Scanning of 120 film and transparencies, 35-mm film/mounted slides. Nikon Coolscan LS-8000 scanner is used and can scan up to 4000 dpi. Color correction of old film and slides. Note: to get a good scan, please insure that the image you send is not blurred or out of focus. "A high resolution scan of a poor image doesn't make it look better!". Please inspect your slides before sending.
If you cannot determine whether your negatives or slides are good candidates, send them to me and I will inspect them for you - and then let you know whether the effort is worthwhile.

Location Photography: your family portrait indoors or out, your estate or farm or special subject matter. Historical documentation and corporate projects accepted as well.

Architectural Photography. Services are available to shoot both interior and exterior architecture.
Photographs may be taken in daylight, evening or a time best suitable for your project.
A sight inspection is advised or a diagram/blueprint of the building with directional markings to determine natural lighting characteristics.
Perspective control is implemented in Photoshop to prevent severe "keystoning".
Restoration of old photographs and artwork. I can scan or photograph your old photographs and artwork, touch them up in Photoshop, and provide digital images or prints. I'll send a sample image electronically for you to review.
Individual instruction for fundamentals of photography, using Photoshop (Version 7 -- CS4). Price based on time and materials and level of instruction -- from basic to advanced.
Individual instruction for getting the best results for printing your digital images. Includes shot selection criteria, adjustments, cropping and printing for durable, attractive photographs.
